About Our Film Making Workshops
Our Holiday workshops run every term break in accordance with the public school year. They are held in local community centres and participating schools.
The workshops are split into age groups by our team of working professionals in the Film and Television industry. The focus is FUN…you are on holidays after all!
Programs on offer:
“iPad Filmmaking 101” – A half day or full day program designed to give students a better understanding of how they can get the best out of their iPad for making their home movies with family and friends. BYO iPad, what you work on in the workshop you bring home that same day!
“Introduction to Filmmaking” – Usually operated in conjunction with councils and libraries, this is a basic course designed for kids to be introduced to basic elements of filmmaking to get them started.
“Filmmaking” – These workshops involve games, character development, story building exercises and film production. There is a strong focus on being part of a “film crew” with all participants experiencing various roles, for example: Actor, Director, Camera Operator/Assistant, Costume/Props, Production Manager, Editor, Sound Recorder. Students not only gain a wealth of information, new skills and a finished film, they are rewarded with certificates, a screening of their film in a cinema setting at the end of the year and constant access to their film on our YouTube channel.
*Please take a look at our “up coming workshops” for other programs on offer such as: Screen Acting, SFX Make-Up, Action Cam, Animation, Screenwriting.
